I just love Lilypie tickers. I think they are too stinkin cute. I had one for my pregnancy as my signature for my online mommy group. So, they are the new edition to my blog. And who knows, maybe after Little Lady's first birthday I'll be adding a new ticker to the page if you know what I mean (wink! wink!).
If you want to create your own, here is the website-

Easter Dress Dilemma
A good friend of mine introduced me to the wonderful world of Etsy. Since her little girl always looks adorable I knew I had to check the shops out. Well, it has now become my weakness. I have to limit my Etsy exposure. So now that Easter is slowly creeping up on us, I had a new excuse to get to pick out some new merchandise. I have narrowed my top three choices for Easter dresses down. I just can't pick and when I think that I have a THE one picked out, I find a new option...So here they are:
Option 1 and my long time favorite-
Option 1 and my long time favorite-
Option 2 - where I live she would most likely have to wear a pink shirt underneath because Easter is never warm enough for a sundress -
Option 3 is the one that I just found today and of course I love it and it became an option as well-

Oh Motherhood...
I'm amazed every day at the things that motherhood has taught me. But from yesterday and todays standpoint, I'm amazed at my inability to be grossed out. The messes you learn to clean up without blinking an eye in disgust...Lets just put it this way, little lady has an upset stomach and over the course of 24 hours she has had three baths and the jumperoo has found a new home on the back porch while waiting to be power washed by Big A. So, like I said, oh motherhood, the things you have taught me:)
And I wouldn't change it for a second!!!

Favorite Item Friday
My item of the week this week is my Martha Stewart Cutting Board. I LOVE this thing. My husband got it for me for Christmas and I have used it probably every other day since then. It is a chopping board and colander in one. This works great for me because I have a three opening kitchen sink and this is one of the few chopping boards big enough to fit over my sink. If you are looking for a new cutting board or a new colander I recommend this item. I believe they are only available at Macy's under the Martha Stewart line.

Thank You Elizabeth Pantley
For those of you that haven't heard of her, Elizabeth Pantley wrote the No Cry Sleep Solution. It was given to me by a fellow blogging attached momma. I'm in love with this book. It has helped my sleeping situation with little lady immensely. Pantley, also an attached momma, guides you in positive ways of how to get baby to sleep better with out forcing your child to cry. I personally am not comfortable with making my baby cry herself to sleep. I highly suggest this book to anyone that believes in attachment parenting, has an all night nurser, or would just like a more pleasant night time routine. I firmly believe in attachment parenting and Dr. Sears 7 Baby B's.

Anderson Cooper...you rock!
This video is graphic but I hope that it shows people what is truly going on in Haiti and how the people of that country need help now more than ever. Kudos to Anderson Cooper for putting himself in harms way to save a child...

Haiti
I think right now the people of Haiti are on everyones minds. Now, a week after the horrific earthquake I can't get the images of the children out of my head - injured and scared, confused and alone. Children should never have to see what these children have seen or been through what they have been through. In a mere 45 seconds these children lost everything. Their homes, their friends, their parents - their entire families. I just want to scoop them up and bring them here and love them. All the images are awful but for me personally the children break my heart more than anything and I wish more than anything that I could make the world right for them again.

The Computer Was Broke...
Last week the computer broke...I had no way to get online and update ANYTHING. But, my genius IT husband fixed it this weekend and now we are up and running again. Now the x-box is broke and unfortunately the hubs can't fix it. I believe it will be taking a trip to Microsoft to get fixed. This week, I will get caught up on blogging, many topics are on my mind.

House Projects for the Year
There are many projects that I would like to get completed on the house during this year. With so many to choose from I'm thinking it might be best to break them down to a certain project each month and hopefully we can get more completed that way. Here is the drill down list of what I would like to get accomplished on the house for 2010:
January: Finish trim in Junior Miss's room and hang up new microwave
February: Redo upstairs hallway - rip out carpet, lay hardwoods, paint
March: Set up guest bedroom and finish guest bathroom
April: Paint closet doors in the girls bedrooms, finish small projects in the kitchen
May: Landscape backyard
June: Busy with birthdays, we are taking the month off:)
July: Tile Basement
August: Tile Basement (yes that's a two month project)
September: Fix drywall and paint basement
October: Move furniture to basement and decorate
Take the rest of the year off and enjoy the holidays:)
Can we do it? YES WE CAN!

Favorite Item Friday
I use so many things on a daily basis for little lady. A few are my favorites in general. As she grows, what we use the most changes quite frequently. My favorite item and hers as well for the time being is our high chair. I LOVE it and she LOVES it even more. It was by chance that I even found this high chair. I knew from the get go that I did not want a big bulky plastic high chair. I had to have one that matched my dining room furniture of course! We went to the local furniture store to purchase our crib that I had found there previously and what would be set up right next to the crib that we were buying but the perfect high chair - black and wood colored! We walked out that very day with a high chair and not a crib:)

A DECADE...seriously???
As this first week of the new decade comes to a close I find myself pondering all the changes someone can go through in a mere ten years. Ten years ago I was a senior in high school and thought I knew everything only to find out I knew nothing, at least nothing about the real world. I've gone from being in high school and living at home to going to college and living in the dorms, moving to the sorority house, graduating from college and moving back in with my parents to getting my own apartment as a hip, single 22 year old to now being a married home owner.
I had a certain "plan" for my life at 18, changed it at 22, and finally at 27 I realize that you can have no "plan" for your life, you simply have to just take one day at a time.
And now as I sit here and have all the memories of the past ten years running through my head...the boys, wrong boys, college parties, heart aches, the neon, the realization of how much bills suck, THE man of my dreams, bridal showers, weddings, weddings, more weddings, MY wedding, and now the babies...I wonder if its possible that I will ever change as much again as I have these last ten years.
