Organization and a little party planning...

Yesterday Little Lady was playing in her room and I looked around and realized that it was still set up for a newborn and not for an almost mobile toddler. So with a little switch it, change it, rearrange it, I believe she has a toddler bedroom now. I scooted the bookshelf a little down the wall and kept the lion rug in front of it since we use that as her reading rug where we read books. I moved her animal foam mats into the corner in front of her big window and made quite a large play area for her and sectioned it out with some of her larger toys. Moved the changing table next to her closet so it's kind of like her "dressing" area. So, after about an hour of Little Lady looking at me like I was crazy moving rugs and toys about, the finished product is awesome and she spent the rest of the day happily playing with her toys and checking out what was going on in the neighborhood from the stoop of her windows! It is amazing what a little organizing and rearranging can do!

And now for the party planning...We are going with a luau theme for Little Lady's first birthday. I had my good friend design her birthday invites and they turned out great. You can check out some of her awesome work here. I was online yesterday looking for decorations and what not and decided that I should check out Oriental Trading because I had used them in the past for good party decor - cheap! I looked at their luau items and would you believe that I found luau party themed items with duckies on them. Duckies are Little Lady's favorite BY FAR. She loves Ming Ming from The Wonder Pets, has a few rubber duckies, and can also very clearly say duck. In fact, in her world, all birds are a duck! I am so happy that I found something that matched the theme I chose and her personality so perfectly. So, it's not even May 1 and I got the invites and the decorations off my to-do list. I hope that I can be this organized for all her birthday parties.
